Appointments now available to book

A vaccination taking place

We will be running Flu Vaccination clinics at the surgery on:

  • Sat 2nd October – patients aged 65 and over
  • Sat 16th October – any eligible patient, see below

Eligible patients will receive a text or email with a link inviting them to book an appointment. You can also book an appointment by phoning the surgery. Additional weekday clinics will be available.

Children aged 2 – 3 and any children that fall into an at risk group will receive the vaccine at the Surgery.  Once we are informed of delivery dates of this vaccine, we will contact you to book an appointment.

 

Patients eligible for the flu vaccination this year are:

  • All children aged 2 – 15 but not 16 years or older on 31 August 2021 (delivered in school for 4 – 15 year olds)
  • People aged 50 years or over including those becoming 50 by 31 March 2022
  • People aged 6 months to less than 50 years in clinical risk groups such as
    • Chronic (long term) respiratory disease such as asthma (requires continuous or repeated use of inhaled or systemic steroids or with previous exacerbations requiring hospital admission), COPD or bronchitis
    • Chronic heart disease such as heart failure
    • Chronic kidney disease at stage 3, 4 or 5
    • Chronic liver disease
    • Chronic neurological disease such as Parkinson or motor neurone
    • Learning Disability
    • Diabetes
    • Splenic dysfunction or asplenia
    • A weakened immune system due to disease such as HIV/AIDS or treatment such as cancer treatment
    • Morbidly obese defined as BMI of 40 and above
  • Pregnant Women
  • Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals specifically individuals who expect to share living accommodation on most days over the winter
  • People living in long stay Residential Care Homes or other long stay care facilities
  • People who are in receipt of a carers allowance or who are the main carer of an older or disabled person
  • Frontline Health & Social Care Staff
