How to Register

Check you live within the boundary area

To access our registration process, first check you are in our catchment area. If you have any questions about your eligibilty join this surgery please contact us.

New patients will have their medical record reviewed by a GP to ensure that any required tests are up to date and that we have an accurate note of any repeat medication you may be taking.

Urgent Medical treatment is available from the date of registration however, we ask you to request a months supply of medication whilst the registration process takes place. Please contact reception for further information.

Temporary Services

Any amendments to current medication and discussions regarding your ongoing health care should be with your current GP surgery via telephone or online consultations if your surgery provides this service. Medications can be obtained by your surgery sending your prescription to a local pharmacy of your choosing; you will just need to provide the pharmacy name and address details.

If you have a minor injury, you can attend your local Minor Injury Unit or if you have a minor illness, you can seek advice from a local Pharmacist

If you become unwell whilst away from home and need immediate treatment, a local GP surgery may be able to provide you with emergency care for a period of 14 days.

Your main medical record remains with your usual GP, who will be updated with any medical issues. 

You will be asked to provide the following information to register temporarily with a practice:

  • Proof of your name/ identity
  • Name and address of your usual GP practice

Practices do not have to accept your request however, they have an obligation to provide you with emergency care.

Your Named GP

All Patients registered with the surgery will have been allocated a named accountable GP who will be responsible for your overall care. However, you can book appointments with any of the GPs at the surgery. If you have a preference to which GP you are allocated, the practice will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your requests. If you wish to know which GP has been allocated to you, please ask reception at your next visit.
